Light S.E. flow in the Georgia Straight and moderate outflows for Howe Sound
this morning. Mix of Sun and low cloud on the valley cams. Should see moderate inflows for Squamish with the combined thermal and S.E. push.
Increasing clouds later in the day as a Low moves through central B.C.
This could cause stronger winds at the Spit late into the evening. S.W. to N.W. for tomorrow as Low moves inland and to the South!
Extremely low tides today. Great conditions for beginners!

Strong West winds in the Juan de fuca this morning. Vancouver showing signs of clearing and a big change in temps. A series of Lows pass through central
B.C. as High pressure settles to the South West. Should see West winds pick up in the Georgia Straight as High pressure moves inland. Could see moderate winds for local kiting. Best bet today, Jericho beach for an increased thermal and very low tides. This will make for excellent opportunities for beginners learning kitesurfing!
Expect 15 knots.
Squamish should see cold and gusty inflows today.

High cumulus clouds on the valley cams this morning. Forecast is for a clearing trend by early afternoon then becoming mixed sun and cloud. Higher temps forecasted in the valley with a 3 degree gradient. This will produce moderate inflows for the Squamish Spit.
Expect a gusty10-20 knots.
Moderate West winds in the Georgia Straight this morning are forecast to remain constant throughout the day. We could see some moderate winds at Jericho beach. Expect 10-15 knots.

after yesterdays inflows peaking at almost 30 knots, combined with slightly higher valley temps. We should see good inflows for Squamish today. The absence of West winds in the Georgia Straight should make for steady winds for the Spit. Expect moderate winds 15-20 knots.

Moderate West winds in the Georgia Straight this morning. Fresh snow on the mountains is a typical sign of a Spring Westerly. We should see the wind fill in at English Bay as temps rise. Very low tides today. Best bet for learning is Jericho beach. Expect 15-20 knots
With high valley temps for tomorrow and Sat, we should see Squamish producing good inflows!

Light S.W. winds should remain constant throughout the day. With low
tides in the afternoon we should see good wind for beginners who want to learn to kiteboard. Crescent beach is the safest bet. Light winds expect 15 knots. Strong gusty frontal winds for Squamish.

Strong South East winds this morning as a 991mb Low passes
over today. Should see S.E. winds pick up in the afternoon. Looks like a great day for Boundary Bay and after 1:00 the tides should be excellent for beginners who want to learn to kiteboard. 3rd ave in Boundary Bay is one of the safest locations in Vancouver for learning.

April 9
Not much on the radar today. Strong South winds on the
way starting tonight and into next week. Boundary bay will
be the best spot for kiteboarding and with low tides learning
will be great for beginners.

April 8
Strong West winds in the Georgia straight this morning. This will slowly taper off and swing South West. Could see some thermal effect at Jericho before the switch to S.W. Squamish should start inflowing with a late start. Best chance for wind is Jericho or Squamish.

What a great winter! Looks like seasonal Westerlies are kicking in again.
Today, with temps on the rise and high pressure settling in. We should
see West winds picking up later today. Jericho beach and the Tsawwassen ferry terminal should be excellent locations for kitesurfing today. Jericho Spanish banks will be stronger wind with the slight thermal effect. With very low tides this afternoon it should be great conditions to learn to kiteboard in the shallows.
Low tide today 14:40 3.6 ft Check Jericho sailing center for wind speeds. The School will open for Squamish later this month but VKS will be conducting lessons locally for keen students!

No more Squamish forecasts until April. Local Vancouver winds will be forecasted in advance on “likely” scenarios.

Jet stream slowly steers back on course. Moderate outflows this morning for Howe Sound. Light gradient forecasted from Vancouver to Lillooet but with bluebird skies expect temps in the valley to exceed the forecasts.
Strong west winds in the Georgia Straight should remain moderate South of YVR and will have a adverse effect on the morning inflow for Howe Sound, causing a late start for the Spit. Expect 15 knots for the Spit.

Very light winds for Vancouver with moderate westerlies tomorrow. Long term for the Spit looks unsettled, clearing tomorrow with patchy skies. Big High pressure system developing on the outer Pacific means good weather is coming!

Cooler temps for Squamish and increased clouds towards the end of the day. Expect 15-20+ knots for Kiteboarding at the Spit. Low tides around noon, this will make it excellent for begginners!

Strong outflows for Howe Sound could mean a late start for the Spit. Expect very warm winds today around 15 knots.

Jet stream took a dive and is headed south again causing unsettled weather for today and tomorrow. High and low cloud on the whistler cams this morning with low pressure advancing from the N.E. B.C. Could see clearing around noon causing some Westerly action but might be a S.W.

Clear skies on the cams this morning. Some unsettled weather scheduled to hit this afternoon and overnight, this shouldn’t effect the inflow much. Moderate outflows this morning means a later inflow. South push in city but not much wind for Vancouver. Big sandbar, great day for beginners. Moderate wind today expect 15-25 knots. Inflow tomorrow as well!

But it looks like some cloud in the afternoon which might make it gusty. Looks better for the Spit tomorrow but there is a good chance of a Westerly in the city as well.
